Our Roots

Where Forest Meets Home

We’re Steve and Jenny Deans, your hosts at Peel Forest Homestay.

Jenny and Steve have lived in the area together for 35 years, raising their family and farming our small block that is adjacent to the forest.

Steve grew up here in the farmhouse, the son of noted landscape painter Austen Deans. In our home we host all kinds of visitors, from backpackers exploring the rugged landscapes to seniors wanting a quiet getaway. Our rooms cater for all budgets, and we like to make all visitors feel that they very much have a home away from home.
